WHAT IS PINOT NOIR?

Widely grown throughout the world, but thriving best in cooler climates, Pinot Noir is known for producing some of the world’s best wines.  The grape is grown throughout the world, from Austria to Canada and everywhere in between, however some of the most famous come from France and America.  A challenging grape to grow, Pinot Noir is sensitive to frost, soil conditions, and pruning techniques, it is just as finicky in production of wine whereby it is sensitive to fermentation methods and yeast strains, so extra time and care must be taken in the production of Pinot Noir.
