Two Brothers Long Haul Session Ale

Two Brothers Long Haul is out of the Two Brothers “J Series,” which is aged in French Oak.

With summer approaching, I thought choosing a session ale would be appropriate.  A session ale is basically a lower abv (alcohol by volume) than most other craft beers.  Normally, session ales sit around 3.9% - 5.0% with 5% being high.

Two Brothers Long Haul is at 4.2%.

Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer

Tue, 03/05/2013 - 3:59pm -- Anonymous (not verified)

Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer:

APPEARANCE - Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer beer pours a light copper in color. It has a thick, white head that subsides at a slow pace but with some lacing. Alpine has a slight haze to it with little carbonation.

SMELL - Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer smells fruity, (I'm going to say apricot), followed by yeast-like smell...like it’s going to be a little sweet.

Craft Beer Journey

Thu, 08/30/2012 - 6:13pm -- Beer Guy

I got in to craft brews because drinking the same old beer just wasn't for me. I wanted to expand the debate of Miller vs Coors. Everyone knows of Miller’s Triple Hops and that Coors Light has a crisp and refreshing finish and is frost-brewed. And I’m sure this reminds some of you of your own long road into craft brews.

Introduction

Thu, 08/30/2012 - 5:44pm -- Beer Guy

As my regular customers know, I am currently employed at Wise Guys Discount Liquors. (www.wiseguysliquors.com) And this opportunity alone has helped me evolve my pursuit to know the world of micro brews. I am happy to announce I am in the beginning stages of the Cicerone program specializing in Beer. I thought I knew about beer, but I’ve learned even more since taking these classes.
